Hi I’m Colette

 

I’m incredibly passionate about teaching yoga, mindfulness, and meditation. 

​

Let me tell you a little bit about how my journey began…

​

I am mother to 4 beautiful children and married to Oliver. I am a yoga teacher and farmer. 

​

My journey began in 2017 when I turned the magical and somewhat daunting age of 40….

​

For me, turning 40 was truly life changing. It prompted me to look at my future in a different way.

As strange as it may sound, I now felt I was grown up!!!!

​

I had left my career some years earlier after giving birth to my 2nd child. Now that my 4 children

were all in school, it was time for me.  I looked at my life as being like a jigsaw and wanted to put

all the pieces together and find a career I really enjoyed. 

​

I love my children; I love working with children. On the whole I loved being pregnant (despite its

challenges) and loved sharing my experiences with others and hearing other parents’ stories of their pregnancy journey.

​

I love practising yoga and had been attending yoga classes for years.

​

This is how all the pieces of my life’s jigsaw started to come together...

​

 I have since completed over 500 hours of training and am a qualified Vinyasa flow yoga teacher, Yin & Restorative yoga teacher, Pregnancy yoga teacher, Baby massage instructor, Mother & Baby yoga teacher, Children’s and teens’ yoga teacher, and mindfulness & meditation practitioner.

Yep!!!! All the above …. and I love it, I love learning everything there is to learn about yoga, mindfulness, meditation. And every day I’m learning.

​

This journey is what inspired myself and Oliver to open up our farm here at the gateway to the Burren to offer you a wonderful menu of experiences. We can’t wait to welcome you to Limestone Yoga, nestled in this magical corner of Ireland, to renew and refresh your body, mind and spirit.

Now….  Something short and sweet about Oliver… (cause he would prefer I didn’t say anything too much)

​

Once upon a time a long, long, long time ago…lol… 

​

Ok really… Oliver is a farmer in Corofin, County Clare, in the West of Ireland. He also farms a winterage in Pollugh, Carren, in East Burren, County Clare. 

​

Oliver was the National Farming for Nature Ambassador 2019.

​

Oliver practises an age-old tradition of winterage farming, which means he winters the cows on the mountain in the East Burren. In the springtime our cows are moved to the grassy lowlands to have their calves. This tradition has been practised for thousands of years.

On the 19th of May 2015 a historical visit took place in the Burren when then Prince Charles chose to spend his opening afternoon in the limestone landscape of our farm in Pollugh, County Clare.
